Chapter 6: Ever since Melody was a little baby Mrs.V, her next door neighbor would take care of her, it started on a work day when her parents were not there to take care of her, and once school came to an end Melody would head over to Mrs.V's house. Mrs.V taught Melody new words and their meanings to expand her already massive vocabulary inside her head and on her plexi glass 'talking board' that was started onto her chair. Her talking board had all of her most important words pasted onto it so Melody could point to them with her only manageable thumb. They also had a few secrets, melody and Mrs.V, like how Melody always is served desert before her meal, and how once they both went outside in the pouring rain and got soaked from head to toe. Mrs.V and melody are pretty much best friends.
Chapter 7: Melody has had many teachers in the past, Mrs.Hyatt, Mr.Gross, and then Mrs.Tracy. Mrs.Tracy was Melody's favorite, she let her listen to books on take all day, she really did understandthe class. Every morning Melody would wake up and leave her dreams of a normal life and have to go to school, everyday (of course except weekends), back to that mily faced classroom. Then came third grade was even worse than Melody though was possible. Mrs.Billups would teach the ABC's, everyday, and play the same baby songs in the background of class twenty-four seven Melody was sick of it. One day she threw a tantrum causing an uproar of the whole class. Her mother came later, knocked some sense into that lady about all her stupid torture though repetition, and that spring break Mrs.Billups quit. She just though teaching 'stupid' kids would be easy, but it wasn't and they were not stupid.
Chapter 8: Melody once had a goldfish names Ollie, he jumped right of his bowl (probably because he was tired of swimming in circles all the time) and Melody screamed at the top of her lungs but no one came. She tried pouring the leftover fish bowl water on him , and finally when her mother came into the room she thought Melody had purposely nocked over the bowl and was mad the rest of the afternoon. A few years later on Melody's birthday she got a puppy, the puppy watched over melody and loved her always. He had even helped save Melody once when she fell out of her chair. The puppy was given the name Butterscotch and Butterscotch is the best puppy a girl like melody could ever have.

Both the girls were a real handful especially because they both needed to be changed and fed, but everything had seemed to be working.
Chapter 10: Penny has a blanket she calls doodle, she takes doodle everywhere. Penny and Melody are quite the handful, they are lucky to both fit in the bathroom with there mother at once, because they often were. melody's mother is still a little bit fat from the baby so Melody uses her 'talking board' to make fun of her. Melody is sometimes read to by her mother and her father, she likes Garfield, but for sure Melody's father has a harder time understanding her than her mother, and does not know that.
