Chapter 11: Fifth grade had just started , their new teacher Mrs. Shannon actually read their files about all of the kids hobbies, and wants them to actually learn as much as they can this year from the videos and books and other things unlike the past teachers room H% has seen. This year Melody has a new electric wheelchair, and when they got to go see the 'normal' kids at their music class she was able to wheel right in embarrassed by her classmates sloppy behavior as two 'normal' girls made fun of them. They joined the class for tan experience to be included, so they got buddies to be included with. Melody was they last one in the class sitting in the back of the room waiting to be picked, then a nice girl named Rose came and introduced herself inviting Melody to sit with her. They actually became good friends. The two mean girls gotten their chairs taken away by the music teacher, Mrs. Lovelace for being mean, so Rose gave them a frown. So far school was a whole new experience, Melody even was told to stop laughing with her new friend! She now loved school, and her new friend Rose.
Chapter 12: Melody explains her inclusion classes, and how she was finally getting her own personal aide named Catherine. She takes tests , points to the answers and Catherine writes them down. After a test Rose asked Melody what she had gotten for a grade, and Melody showed her and 0%. Then they wheeled back to H5.
Chapter 13: Mrs.V had won a contest, her prize was six tickets to the aquarium. She brings Melody, her family, and invites Rose. At the aquarium Molly and Claire pass by them with their girl scout troop and make fun of Rose, but Mrs.V knocks some sense into them. After the aquarium they drop off Rose at her house, and she says "thank you" very properly but Melody wasn't so sure she had a good time.
Chapter 14: Rose has gotten a new lime green laptop, and Catherine quickly understands Melody when she asks for one specially designed so she could operate it herself, They both think it is a grate idea. In class they are writing a bibliography, Melody decides to do hers about Stephen Hawking because he is just like her.
Chapter 15: Catherine helps Melody find a medi-talker on the computer, this is a machine just as she had requested. Eventually Melody's parents purchase it, Mrs.V goes to pick it up and inputs a whole vocabulary for melody to use. When her parents get home Melody's dad walks in with his camera to video her 'very first words'. "hi mom, hi dad, I am so happy," she says, "I love you," her parents then break into tears.
